This is my strategy for coin holding, let’s have a look and let me know what you think.

I will divide into 3 sub-strategies:

A. Holding until a certain target is reached
For example, you buy BTC at the price of $3,000 and will only sell when it reaches $15,000. This is the most basic, yet the least effective strategy. If the price goes up to $14,800 and then drops, maybe you will have to wait another year. Who knows?

B. Flexible holding:
This is, on the other side, the most effective strategy. This one gives priority to the amount of coin.To be specific, if you hold BTC, then your aim is to maximize the BTC amount you get. For example: You buy BTC at the price of $3,000 and sell when it increases to $4,500. Afterwards, use this money to get BTC, which is then priced at $4,000. Repeat the process again and again, and you can accumulate your BTC amount.
The key here is to remember: you are holding, not trading. Before deciding to sell at $4,500, you should be pretty sure that the price is gonna fall below that level in the time to come. It means that even if the price rises up to $10,000, but there is no sign of an upcoming decline (down to $9000, for example), then you shouldn’t sell.
However, if the price is currently $6,000, and anticipated to fall to $5,000, then it’s worth selling.
So, the thing is: only sell if you can buy at a better price. In case the price goes up after you sell, please buy again, even at a higher price. Frequent performance of trading (buying and selling) is not encouraged to limit such cases. However, if you are sure about a future drop in price, you shouldn’t miss the chance to rapidly increase your coin amount.

C. Long-term holding
This form is often applied for your trusted long-term coin/project. You can buy and wait until the market is saturated or when the trend becomes clearer. This is a true investment, constituting high risk and little chance of success. However, a good project will surely pay you back.

Hi, I think, the best way to safely capture the overall growth of cryptocurrency is to diversify and reap the benefits of growth from multiple coins.

Well my strategy right now is C, I am holding good coins for a long term and know that they will their value with the time but this investment needs alot of patience. Your strategy B looks promising as well. I haven't trade in this way yet.

thank for your opinion!

good advice. I prefer the above method because it suits my target for the purpose of investing in bitcoin, it is risky but if the price is down, I have to use alternative to hold it until the price rises again.

back when i stated investing,i was a "long-term holder'.However,i realized it's not effective as coins rarely do that 2-5x and i might have to wait whole year to get a nice profit."flexible holding" as you name it , is that best strategy as if market in a bearish state and you can't get profit ,then you can increase your bags of coins you holding.keep in mind, that's a dangerous move as you may sell at loss hoping to get from lower points and coin explode and you don't get a chance to ride the train . you should analyze the chart first before doing that.

Well,I those are brilliant but it isn't that easy to watch your money just drop in price like that.I think sometimes the best is to avoid using apps to monitor your holdings else when you see how they drop you may end up selling off.

The very best option i know is this,  buy 10 Bitcoin now because it's in dip mode or discount mode, so that the 5 bitcoin should be divided to investment, trading and if you have luck gambling, (I really don't prefer gambling because it's not optional, if you know how to make your money roll then in the near future you will be sitting pretty. That's the best option I know. Cheesy

I consider holding you coins during declining of its value in market is a strategy. In cryptocurrency world  we don't really know what will happen next. Panicking and selling coins during a dramatic fall is not a good decision. You will end up regretting for the decision you make if the coins suddenly changes its value from low to high. So it's better wait and hold.

That's the best strategy Cheesy Can you also tell me how to decide, when prices are high or low. Taht would be great. Im hodling atleast one year to avoid taxation. And the top #10 on coinmarketcap are a good start for long term hodling IMO. Additionally, some promising small caps, which might make a run in the next 12 month and that's it.

There is no single strategy that is fail-safe, to maximize profits, one has to develop and integrate a couple of plans. The bane of profiting from long term HODL is patience and emotions. So it's better to combine two strategies ; in-between cash-in and cash-out and long term HODLing in viable projects. But you have to be a strong believer.

Every people who become successful in cryptocurrency, are using multiple strategy, and they are looking on how the market price being moves, because cryptocurrency business has a good timing on what business transactions you want to do. This is what I have been seen mostly on my friend that already belong on crypto business. And I'm just asking them on what good strategy to used in different business line on crypto business.

All the three strategies are appliable. The thing is that it is a trader who must be flexible and able to adjust any strategy to market conditions.
