I think it means how many tokens are created for a certain project. Ex. Limited token emission vs. unlimited token emission.

TOken emission simply means the total amount of tokens that a platform would generate. This is very important but I don't think most people focus on this data, because there are some project with circulating token of 100 million but the total tokens that the platform would emmit is 1 billion when dilluted and would have significant impact on the price of the token

Token emission is preparing for the big next launch of the token. This is for welcoming new investors and attracting investors to support the ICO. This is for the good of token distribution before it is done in outcome bases.
