I have already downloaded the full node, but i want to be sure what are the benfits of it? It took me 1 day to download all the history blocks.

Apart from you being a good guy and maybe getting a pat on the back, there are no literal benefits of downloading the full node. Not unless you want to run data analytics on the number of transactions on the network. I don't keep a full node wallet myself since I travel a lot, and I also suggest the same to my friends.

I guess there are no benefits from having them updated on your drive, but the thing is you are able to help to support the Bitcoin network.

AND don't forget, while you may support the network, if you are on a capped data plan, you will be charged for all those GB's that you download.   Supporting the network could cost you money.

If you're not interested in any of these things, I suggest using Electrum instead or use prune mode in Bitcoin core, this will limit the storage size.

I don't think capping of data plan matters on OP he even downloaded the whole blockchain in just a day for over 225 GB of size, just not like me I even tried to manage my monthly data and lol, I'm still 3 years+ behind.

It's the same with me. I tried but it takes so much time to stay updated and if you lose power and have no backup your blockchain files can get corrupted and you'll have to start from the beginning. OP has a very good connection to be able to download everything in just one day.

Run a pruned node. Doesn't require that much space and data transfer is cheap these days if your in a first world country.

At the same time what I can think of is it is making your transactions more secure and this is a good thing.

Monetary benefits? None. One benefit though is that you are helping the network itself be healthy and of course this is decentralization.  Maybe this helps regarding pruning, Will it be possible to user bitcoin core without downloading whole.

There's no economic incentive, but it's the only way to fully validate a proof-of-work blockchain. Using an SPV wallet implies trust, and leaves one vulnerable to attacks that can't be mounted against full node operators.

Once you've validated the entire blockchain, you can save space by pruning.

- bitcoin is decentralized so you can not expect some centralized authority run the network for you. you must do it yourself if you can. that means running a full node.
- as a backbone of this decentralized network nodes keep the network healthy and prevent any kind of centralization. you running one is contributing to that. and if you want a stronger and more decentralized bitcoin you should do it.
- since the most popular full node implementation and probably what you have downloaded is bitcoin-core and this project is the most reviewed and most worked-on, it is the safest possible thing you can use.
- running a full node is giving you a lot more privacy and you will not rely on any third parties unlike using SPV wallets,...

Well, someone should teach him how to use it. it all seems to be in vain if you only know some cryptography and others usually suffer losses (phishing, malware).

And the most used Proof-of-Work still become their first target.
