How and when did you get acquainted with crypto-currencies?

The first time I learned this from the Internet in 2011-2012- I think, I am even installed a mining program, and then I burned the video card, and I forgot about cryptography until 2017!) In the summer of 2017 I met my friend , who convinced me that behind this the future and I believed him, for this many thanks!)

I got to know this through a friend of mine in June, 2017  but I was not paying proper attention to what he was telling me then. Around September, 2017, I agreed to invest in some coins with a little amount. It was January, 2018 that I became serious about crypto-currencies.
