So I'm an Australian who has been using CoinJar in the past to buy BTC, since the transaction fees for BTC went up I've turned to CoinBase to purchase Litecoin for transfers on to exchanges, CoinBase has small limits though for Australians, far too low for what I'm after.

CoinJar have recently introduced 3 altcoins, I was excited for this but their markup is criminal, 10% above any where else for the same coin.

Does any one know of any instant payment exchanges that support Australia and sell altcoins? getting a bit frustrated with limits etc.

Thanks for your help Smiley

I've just found this site called Buy Bitcoin Worldwide where you can search for your country and then select the payment method that you’d like to use to purchase Bitcoin.

See link:

It's a very informative site indeed.

It's either Coinbase, Gemini[1], or my personal favorite, LocalBitcoins[2]. Why you say? You can purchase bitcoin through Localbitcoins using cash meetups, especially when you want to prevent some banking/taxing fiasco.

Thanks for the replies Smiley
I checked out Gemini, they don't support Australia.

localbitcoins is a great idea but the nearest cash sale is over 100 miles away, I'll monitor this site for sure though.

Escrow on here? any information on this?

Cheers.

Localbitcoins.com would be my most recommended to buy bitcoin. You can buy it online and use an escrow for security or do a meetups and make a face to face trade. Have you try to look here in forum for bitcoin seller? You can found it here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0 only look for legit seller  or always use an escrow if you are not sure.
