Hi guys,

This is my first mining rig and I need some insight from you guys:
> 8x MSI GTX 1080ti Gaming X
> 8GB RAM
> Biostar TB-250 BTC Pro
> Intel G4400 Skylake Dual-Core
> 8x Molex risers
> WD Green 120GB SSD

To power this, I bought:
2x CoolerMaster V1200 Platinum Power Supply. Will the two V1200 do the job fine or should I get an additional small power supply to separately power up my motherboard and risers?

My electricity price is very less, so it is negligible. It would be great if you guys can help me overclock my card by sharing Afterburner configuration. I'm still confused with that part.

What should I mine to make more profit with my Nvidia cards? I've checked whattomine.com but the value keeps changing. Any stable and specific coin that Ican mine?

I would really appreciate your help. Thank you very much in advance.

Hi, regarding PSUs yes they are fine if you keep TDP low for best energy efficiency,  but if you want OC and increase also TDP you will need almost 2 1600W PSUs.

Regarding the coin, there is no stable one so what I can suggest you is or you install nicehash for best profit but with fees, or you believe in 2 or 3 coins and you go mining them when their diff is low.

Maybe there are better strategies, I prefer the second solution.

I have set my 1080ti cards to 215w and clocked core to 1930-1950mhz, works out about 3.55 sol/w on Zcash on ethos.

Profit a coin depends on pool hashrate, network diff, and coin price when convert to Bitcoin/USD but you can try Equihash algorithm such Zcash coin.

Two ways you can maximise the BTCP you get

1) You can mine in the donators pool and make a few ZCL's beforehand you can get a higher ratio than 1:1.
See link below.

https://fund.zclassic.org/
https://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinPrivate/comments/7txoej/increasing_incentive_for_voluntary_miner/
So how can I calculate how much BTCP I have earned? Use this simple equation:
BTCP Earned = ZCL you mined for Fund x 62,500/(Total ZCL donated by pool)
Here are some examples of how this will work:
1) If 20,000 ZCL are mined at the end of the program, and you mined 100 ZCL, you would get 312.50 BTCP (100*62500/20000)
2) If 30,000 ZCL are mined at the end of the program, and you mined 200 ZCL, you would get 416.67 BTCP (200*62500/30000)
3) If 40,000 ZCL are mined at the end of the program, and you mined 300 ZCL, you would get 468.75 BTCP (300*62500/40000)
4) If 50,000 ZCL (program cap) are mined at the end of the program, and you mined 400 ZCL, you would get 500 BTCP (400*62500/50000)

currently they are at 25% so if you can mine 1 zcl by the 50,000 cap you will get 1.20BTCP (worst case scenario).

2) Now if your rig cant mine enough by Feb 28 then best just to buy zcl straight and hold in the electrum wallet (is officially supported by BTCP). Buy asap cus the ZCL-BTC ratio is climbing with each passing day.

Can do a combo of 1 and 2 if you are bullish on BTCP.

The value of a coin will always changing from time to time depends on the market price, and also the number of coins you will get per hour or day will always changing due to the difficulty level.

You can try to increase step by step with AB until you increase your Hashrate with a good Hashrate stability and system was stable.

Coins profitability always fluctuate, you could try to understand how to keep mining with stable income. You can doing high mobility mining or whatever.
