Project 1 : blockchain compression
I have an idea to
a, compress blockchain to the most possible compression level.
b, Using blockchain in compressed stage.

This will reduce Gb(s) of memory to all bitcoin users. Web servers require small amount of storage.
Blockchain can be downloaded at a Faster rate.

Is there already any work going on here?
If you know kindly direct me with the link.
Do you think it is worth to try to code?

If nobody hasn't tried it, I would like to try it. I need your suggestion.
Also, if it is a demanded one, Will it be possible to raise some coins to fund the project?
