Sometimes it does that but I haven't had any problems recently, try double checking other sites just to see if it's not just you.

Edit: LOL I just experienced the slowdown you mentioned just as I finished posting, nice I know what you mean now, yes I got it a bit too.

For me it is timing out when I post messages.  

I just got issued the SMF timeout page, so there are some server performance issues currently I guess. Hopefully this gets sorted soon.
