Author Topic: Cpu mining gets my gpu to mine aswell 100% cpu use  (Read 128 times)

Bitcoin Client Software and Version Number: no bitcoin
Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit
System Hardware Specs: I7 6700k 4ghz 16go ram gtx 1060 6gb
Description of Problem: Cpus inside gpu get to 100% while mining only on cpu algos
Any Related Addresses: None
Any Related Transaction IDs: None


Hi everyone having some troubles I don't know if i am damaging my gpu.

when i launch any cpu miner, the cpus inside my gpu are set to 100% automaticly is that any bad ? My gpu temp is about 27°c and 0% used but all cpus get to 100%

If you are mining CPU only algorithms, then your CPU should get to 100%. The 100% utilisation means that your miner is utilising your CPU to your fullest. Just keep an eye on the temperature and you should be fine.

There's no "CPU" inside a GPU.

Oh you are telling me that the " cpus " i see in afterburns are the microprocessors inside my CPU ?

Yes my cpu is 100% and about 35c so its fine and in afterburns it only shows my microprocessors is that right ?

Afterburner is showing your GPU cores, not CPU. You are getting the terminology mixed up.

Stop buying industrial miners, running them at home, and then complaining about the noise.
