What is My IP Address ?
IP Address (Internet Protocol) is a unique number in a special format that identifies a device, internet connection or an organisation. Whenever you surf on world wide web you are using an IP address to communicate with servers and other computers on the internet. When you do so of Corse your IP address reveals some information about you. There are two types of IP addresses. IPv4 and IPv6.

What is IPv4 ?
IPv4 IP addresses are traditionally used internet protocols. They are limited in numbers and look like 192.168.0.1

What is IPv6

IPv6 are new type of IP addresses which can support very large amount of users. They are still being adopted wordwide. They look like: 2001:0db8:85a3:0000:0000:8a2e:0370:7334

Why should I check my IP address?
There are number of reasons and occcasions where you might need to know your own IP address for example: you are blocked by the firewall. If you are blocked by the firewall you must contact system administrator to unblock you but for this you must know your own IP address.

How do I find my IP address location ?
There are many online services available such as https://whatismyip.live, http://www.myipaddress.com, Xmyip.com etc.
