Any better steps to use eroupters with cgMined and hub

I've been getting bugged by the small steps I need to get each additional eroupter recognized by my pc.

Maybe its the hub but when I install new I have to
1. plug the new devices in and let windows.think its won with the drivers it picks.
2. install the new drivers for cgminer.
3. power off the hub and cgminer
4. plug in each device one at a time even the ones already recognized with cgminer
5. Mine

3 and 4 are the pains I have and I'm hoping theres an easier path. I only have 6 eroupters , so its not too bad but if I went stupid and bought more instead of a blade (regaurdless of brand) this would get crazy.

CG miner is the source of your problems - use bfgminer and set it to -S All  They will get added automatically without regard to com ports....are you at school or something and you find yourself plugging in your hub over and over again on diff computers?  if yes then I reccomend making a batch file that installs drivers and runs bfgminer after a set period of time (like 240 seconds countdown on the batch file to begin bfg miner with your pool login credentials and -S All option set.

BFGMiner uses the official Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge VCP Driver, which is install once, and done. BFGMiner will detect all USB miners without a problem, and even supports hot plugging.

My CGMiner uses CP2102 USB to UART Bridge Controller and supports hot swapping of Block Erupters.

yeah i agree i use the same setup with cgminer and it works perfect , download the siliconlab drivers and you will be fine, have you setup your batch file right?

I didn't buy all my eroupters at the same time, thats why I found this. If I try bfg miner do I need to install the  other driver to detect? If your a teacher feel free to steal the idea for a batch file. I'm not quite sure how to register and deregister devices through batch files, so I expect a youtube video explaning it.

I think Windows is the source of your problems.

I run cgminer on Linux, and it has no problem detecting my Block Erupters.  I can move them around, and hotplug works, etc.

A Raspberry Pi doesn't cost much these days...

Have a pi and haven't found peace with it yet. It won't work as long as my pc for whatever reasons and plenty of power for it and the eroupters.
