EOS mainnet is launching, however there are rumours about multiple chains coming up, potential delay due to security issues, non-technical issue like BP election manipulations. I would appreciate your view and reasons behind it.

what do you mean by "launch on time"? I don't think a precise launch date was ever announced

The developers is the only one who can answer that. There are two ways that they can do to launch the main net. One is to launch it with so many bugs and release in time or launch it with less issue but a little bit delay.

The long-awaited launch of EOS’ mainnet has been further delayed after a BP vote held on June 6th failed to give the green light. A new vote is scheduled to take place 24 hours after security firms perform an audit. At that time, if BPs do not identify any further vulnerabilities the launching process should take place.

So yes, they were wrong about how much they knew they control. I guess the delay is good for the platform overall. Better to solve a dispute before it becomes a huge problem.

From what i understand of it, there will be several mainnets "launched" and it's up to the community to decide which one eventually will be "the Mainnet".
A proces that could take months or even years, and there will be forks. It's really interesting following what will happen but i will not hold coins for now.

Good luck
