Gentelmen,

Index Portfolio and passive management is gaining a momentum in cryptospace. Lots of index managed crypto funds appear. In the long run Passive management or indexing turned out to be one of the best strategies.

But strangely enough, none crypto indexes engines, which are fundamental for passive investments, were developed for free public use yet. All instruments for indexing are proprietary and on a fee basis disregarding that all CMC and other information nodes provide raw data for free.

We are preparing an instrument that anyone could use to make a weighted crypto index of your own. Our engine collects historical capitalization data of top 100 cryptocurrencies and able to do basic mathematic operations with it. So basically you can make your analog of s&p500 portfolio (but it would be limited to 100 for now) or any other portfolio concept (i.e. top 30 volatile altcoins). It is for you to decide.

Current version is at pre-alpha stage. Historical data starts at March 6th, 2018, at the date when we turned on the data gathering on our server. Right now you can see capitalization of top20 CMC cryptocurrencies. Default mod shows the sum of capitalizations of these top 20 CMC cryptocurrencies, while in manual mod you can choose ones you specifically need. Current default divider is 12 bln.

What is coming in next versions: design; tradingview integration; top 100 cryptos; adjustable dividers; currency weights; historical data and adjustable timeframes.

All the feedback is welcome!

Well, this tool looks promising enough. It is cool to tailor my portfolio. Nevertheless, I would like to see more coins available and with a better historical data and trading periods customization.

I don't think all these INDEX work long term, because of the dynamic in the space, they do perform well in a bull market but not in a bear market. I have observe them closely and I have not seen any of them that has actually won me over. With time when the space mature maybe things will be different

We assume that it is chicken and egg problem. No indexing can become sustainable till index instruments appear. And instruments won't appear till indexing strategy on crypto market becomes sustainable. We tend to solve that with Indexing engine.

Would be great if we could just use it with tradingview as stated.By the way, why did you choose divider of 12 bln? That is strange number.

12 BLN is a test number. We will implement a possibility to set a custom divisor so you can make your own index and tailor your results.
