First, yeah... I am a newbie  Grin.  I am seeing some things with Claymore that I just don't understand and would appreciate some help.  I normally search google, you tube etc, which I did do this time too but I came up with nothing.. no answers.  So please be tolerant of this uneducated (mining) newbie.  My son set this up as something that would help his old mom than he promptly disappears and is not around to answer questions.. grrrrr

I am using Claymore to mine ethereum.  At least that is what I was told.  And a counter on the left side of the screen shows the amt of ethereum it has mined and I guess the counter on the right shows that amt as bitcoin.  My son said I should write down the time and amt in the bitcoin counter whenever I happen to be around the computer.  So, I have been keeping a list and watching the screen.  It appears that occasionally, like in the very early morning hours, the program will restart itself with some message about temperature that I cannot not read before it disappears.  The program seems to restart itself and I was able to catch that it said to choose either 's' for current pool and something about pools 'e to d or s'  to choose one of those.  I was not awake to choose anything and have no clue what it really wanted me to do or why the amt of bitcoin in my counter dropped so much.

The first issue with my counter dropping happened at 7:32pm it went from .029210 at 7:32pm to .021380 at 11:19pm to .0213100 at 11:22pm and than started going back up at 11:24pm to .0213130.   And than the counters and the timer seem to start over.  Or at least the timer starts over but the bitcoin counter shows a significant difference in amts.   I have no clue why it did this drop or there were no messages on the screen.

The second issue occurred yesterday morning and again this morning.  I went to bed at about 11:30 both nights and the counter showed the hour correctly.  I got up at 6am yesterday and show the above message from Claymore about temp and the clock had started and the bitcoin counter was off.  I did not write the amts down for this incident.  Than it happened again in the early hours of this morning.  I went to bed and the bitcoin counter read .0213340 which was still down from when it had dropped above but it appeared to be going back up so I thought things must be okay.  When I woke this am the timer has again restarted and the bitcoin counter is again off at .0222180.  I then went back to the wee hours of this am and noticed that the program had again given the message about the temp (which must be on Claymore's side because mine was still reading as fine and my computer did not restart) and restarted the program, with the message about choosing 's' for current pool or something about pools 'e to d or s' and not knowing what that meant or what I was to do and my son not answering his phone (no shock there) I have done nothing as of yet.

I would appreciate anyone who would be willing to explain to me what is going on and what I need to do when I get that message.

Thank you
Penny
