Etherum Casper

Never heard of this ethereum casper.

Is this another fork for ethereum? Ethereum classic is one of the well known ethereum fork so I don't think this is necessary to have another fork eth.

That's only improvement to the ethereum network and it's not to generate another useless fork just like ETC. Casper is focusing to prevent the inflation fo ethereum through created hardcap supply to the ethereum token. Casper will change POW system to the POS and that makes every holder that meets with requirement to staking their ether to the network.

Why a bad thing? They're updating the platform, eventually to migrate from Pow to PoS and other advancements. In general it is perceived as a milestone that should empower even more the blockchain and the capabilities of ETH

Thanks.. Was confused as I understood that is a positive thing for eth but some people were opposing it and mentioning that it will bring down the price

Only haters of ethereum will try to spread the misleading news about that. The hardcap supply will be determined through POS casper update and if you are big holders of ethereum and you can earn passive income through staking your coin with 130 days lock period to avoid the manipulation. That means a huge increase to the ethereum.

So how many coins that i need to save to get more coins i mean to stake more.. So miners of Ethereum will find a new POW. POS is pretty safe for me. I hope ETH casper is more reliable and secured!

Started reading about this.. Is this a bad thing for eth?

It is a good news for everyone because implementing Casper will make the value rise and more stable because there will be more people who buy Ethereum to stake them in order to get a profit.

The release of Casper just means that Ethereum prices are on the rise. Ethereum can not be won, the only way you will get a new Ethereum is if you hold it in a special wallet, sometimes only people with expensive wallets
will get extra as a miner.

Thanks mate I'm aware about the change from POW to PoS so this is it.

I don't know that it's the Ethereum Casper. Holding ETH will be beneficial when this was already done.
