There is no need for amazon to buy someone else's bitcoins when they can easily make their own amazon coin and make zillions from it. They will swap those coins for bitcoins and basically get a shed load of bitcoins from creating a coin from nothing.

Why should amazon buy such a large number of bitcoins?
They can accept bitcoin payments, but they don't need to buy a lot of bitcoins. They are an online mall, not an investment company.

Amazon is an online mall, it's not an investment company. For this reason they don't buy all the bitcoin and don't want to take this risk. Because they think that it's not need for them.As long I know amazon create own crypto currency and hold some bitcoin.
