having seen some great bounty managers here on bitcointalk who have done wonderfully well in the past but end up running campaigns that later turn to be Scam make me wonder if they actually do research well on any ICO before taking up the job or are they just concern about their pocket alone?

As far as i know, not all of them are checking the background because if they are checking and investigating first we wont have any scam bounty campaigns here, recently my friend has joined a scam ICO,DENARO which has stolen $10M from the investors they have used fake profiles and names,it was handled by one of the top bounty managers here so it means that these managers arent doing their homework.

they have to check what they are going to do. But i think we need a list for scam ICOs and their bounty managers.
If managers know that its going to be end in scammy way and accepts the work this means he is in scam team and will continue to scam.

Not a lot of them but some do I think. So it really depends on the ICO and it's hard to say for sure.

i don't know if all of managers did that, but for sure, like dealey, sylon, ubercool, jamaal, and all top managers in the bounty campaign definitely do the background check on ICO before they accept to manage an ICO.

Issues like this need to be checkmated. I can't imagine someone with integrity, who has done good works in the past and for just one miss now looses the trust that everyone has in him. Most times, before engaging in any bounty campaign, i first check the name of the manager, which is one of the criteria i use. I won't like to be disappointed by finding a manager i trust doing shady work for scam ICO.

I think every bounty manager cares about his reputation. But lately, it's not so easy to distinguish a scam from a good project ... Not only for bounty managers, but even such well-known sites as https://icobench.com/ , Denaro project is proof of this.  Undecided

Well experienced manager will do the background check of the project first obviously as they do not want to risk their reputation to manage scam ICO project just because of money offered by the dev. New bounty manager with less experience may not do it as most of them are just looking for more experiences to build reputation. So it is always recommended to join bounty with experienced manager.

Sometimes I also pay attention to the bounty manager when choosing the next project. But this is not a decisive factor in the choice. After all every person can be mistaken and I can not rely on the community opinion only.

Should be checked by BM before it released, because now many Project Come and want quick money.
And the main problem is Many Unskilled and Unknown Manager come and make BOUNTY and offer HIGH POOL PRIZE. Totally, BM cant blamed if in the middle, The Project SCAM!
