How is this even possible?

Recently,I check coinmarketcap as I always do every morning and at my big surprise there is an unknown coin ranked 3.

If you see the chart,the price increased in 1 shot and the marketcap also did a big jump that it got ranked third.How is that possible?

It is ranked No.3, because they are using circulation numbers from old PAC, which is much higher than the current number. I think it has already been corrected.

Seems like a minor technical bug but surely a "nice" accidental way to get attention.

Another thread is also pursuing the same anomaly. Seems like a glitch, one that has already been rectified i think.

Could also have been hit by a pump and dump group. They usually target these small unknown sh++coins and it causes a spike in the figures. Not the extent of getting to 3rd place though unless it was a huge pump group! Most likely it was a glitch in the figures by CMC

Most likely there are 2 thoughts. Either the system was mistaken very strongly, it is obvious that hackers also do not rest) Or someone paid a lot of money for advertising their coins, and thus wants to present it to the world.
