Can't say I've done this, but I don't think you would see a significant improvement unless you're connecting to a remote p2pool server.  The main advantage of the stratum mining proxy is to reduce network traffic and pool server load when you're connecting to a remote pool. (which allows you to pool mine with getwork-only ASIC miners- otherwise the frequent getwork requests would be too much for pools to handle)

i am connect to a remote p2pool and i fount recjet is very high , 82g all and   20g doa

there is no need to use mining_proxy with p2pool. p2pool use stratum by itself.

I think you high rejects caused by poor settings of miner.
what mining software do you use?
