Most people think that steem and dsteem are related. This is like comparing  CAT with a BENGAL TIGER.
Steem website can be killed with government regulations and all posts residing on it may perish and the STEEM  price may fall like bitconnect.
But DSTEEM is downloadable to a laptop, phone etc but does not host the posts. Hence it is unkillable.
These devs have let an immortal monster loose on the internet.
Dont fall for the simplicity of the frontend website. The posts reside on the blockchain. So they will continue writing a better version of the frontend and keep on upgrading it indefinitely. When a post is made, it will forever live on the blockchain in the form of a transaction.

Absolutely not ! These regulation meant to be censorship by governments and ban from isps and networks. Point is to get use dsteem without any fear of these censorship . Dsteem will be a necessary tool of communication after massive censorship in near future.

Steem is based on Blockchain. Even if website gets taken down data remains there. You can access it via other means.
