Yeah,maybe it will happen because the dominance of the bitcoin decreases year by year but still it is the most expensive currency and lot of other crypto currencies are also getting support from the people,ethereum availability is unlimited so it is impossible to over take by means of price but there are chances to over take interms of marketcap value.

I have to agree with Roger on this one. Bitcoin dominance has been going down for a while and Ethereum is definitely the one that will take that place. It has already a lot more transactions that Bitcoin, which means is already more used but still doesn't have the biggest market cap, for now.

Its not only roger but Vinny mentioned on twitter,if BTC remains as store of value than Alts will look for other pair which will be ETH.
BTC is like Big daddy,first innovation of crypto and block chain technology but in term of technology compared to others.it remained as old manual rotatory dial phone but other alts becoming like digital phones.

What about Ripple? Ethereum positions in marketcap are often taken over by Ripple. Conclusion, Bitcoin vs Ethereum vs. Ripple. so, I think the 3 biggest Coins will race in marketcap. not just Ethereum that will take over marketcap, Ripple, too. |

It's possible that ethereum can overtake bitcoin in coinmarketcap but I never believed in what Roger Ver says it's just a goal to discredit the bitcoin. Roger Ver is number hater of bitcoin and he is crazy proclaiming bitcoin cash is the original bitcoin. Do not trust Roger he is a Fudder.

Although many experts said that the ETH will overtake bitcoin in market cap but I have different opinion with them. Its not only about technology but also market. All is depend on market, isn't it? Bitcoin will still remain the number of cryptocurrency

If a good coin than bitcoin is there but if to replace or beat bitcoin in my opinion does not exist. coins that can beat bitcoin prices, such as ethereum. (take a long time and for now '' impossible '')
Ethereum is a pretty potent coin and a good prospect.

But Ethereum is faster growing cryptocurrency at the same time bitcoin is already reached in the all over world so most of the investors are invest in Bitcoin. so this will continue to rule the crypto market and Ethereum is the queen of crypto platform this will also reached in big position. |

Completely disregarding Roger Ver and his agenda, I think there's a slim chance that ETH will get in front. There's also a chance that another coin will rise to the top, given sufficient time. It will all come down to how functional each coin remains in the longterm. Unless bitcoin can increase transaction speed and volume and reduce fees, then it will lose functional use. Let's wait and see how Lightning works out.

I don't think it is true it just rumor it will not happen. i don't think ethereum will overtake bitcoin now bitcoin is most popular coin all over the world. i think bitcoin is bitcoin it is mother coin i think that. bitcoin is first and decentralized coin. |

I think it won't happen at any time, market cap difference is an evidence that ethereum will have a hard time in overtaking bitcoin, though they said that ETH has a better platform than bitcoin but the latter has a big market user in the world. Ethereum is dependent on the volatility of price by bitcoin and that's the big reason why It won't happen. |
