There are so many good coins there now, and cryptsy seems struggle to put any new ones in. On the other hand, there are many coins that have virtually no trades on cryptsy (last 24 hrs trade total): PYC/BTC PayCoin 0.206 BTC NBL/BTC Nibble 0.231 BTC BTG/BTC BitGem 0.315 BTC TEK/BTC TekCoin 0.528 BTC YBC/BTC YBCoin 0.648 BTC CAP/BTC BottleCaps 0.714 BTC ORB/BTC Orbitcoin 0.768 BTC FRK/BTC Franko 0.775 BTC SPT/BTC Spots 0.840 BTC CMC/BTC Cosmoscoin 1.13 BTC BUK/BTC CryptoBuck 1.15 BTC IXC/BTC IXCoin 1.18 BTC HBN/BTC HoboNickels 1.69 BTC As a comparison, top tradings are: DOGE/BTC Dogecoin 6696 BTC LOT/BTC LottoCoin 1107 BTC LTC/BTC LiteCoin 629 BTC CAT/BTC CatCoin 353 BTC WDC/BTC WorldCoin 239 BTC EAC/BTC EarthCoin 221 BTC Why can't we remove these low trading coins and add other coins that will have much more tradings? This will benefit cryptsy greatly in terms of trading fees and popularity. Maybe I missed something from cryptsy? or maybe these coins are their friends'? In any case, I don't understand it.

Dont remove them, but give them to an extra category of "low volume shitcoins" so they dont slow down other coins and searching in craptsy.
Its always necessary to have some low volume pump and dump coins...

So out with the old crap coins and in with the new? Then in a few months they can remove most of the top traded ones from today and replace them with the next set of junk that everyone can quickly P+D!

The problem with cryptsy is all the shitty problems like coin disappeared, withdraw not working deposit not working, trading not executed etc. Man I can't believe cryptsy in that bad state now.

While I don't have any of those listed coins, I personally think that more is better. Perhaps a more customizable interface, where you don't have to look at the coins that you don't want instead of scrolling through all of the coins to get to the few that you are interested in, is preferable.
Cryptsy's slow performance is not caused by PYC or NBL. It's caused by DOGE, LOT, EAC, and the other more popular coins. If you think of it another way... I could have a blog with 1000 articles on it. If one of my articles gets a million hits and my web site starts having problems, the 500 articles that I wrote five years ago or more that nobody reads any more is not the cause of my problem... it's the one popular page that's getting a million hits.
While Cryptsy might not be making very much off of those coins, the cost of having those coins up on its site is minimal, since very little computing power is going towards processing those transactions. On the other hand, although Cryptsy has been making a killing off of DOGE in the last few days, the amount of processing power going to that one coin is so enormous that it is causing problems with the web site.
More voices, not less... although perhaps add a little to the GUI so that people not interested in a particular coin don't have to see it.

I think they already have what you are after there, if you head to the setting section (top right corner, click on your name when logged into Cryptsy) then scroll about half way down the page, you can untick the coins you dont want listed :-) hope it helps

Just did the numbers on those coins.
If Cryptsy take 0.5%
From the low volume coins they make $48.076875 a day
from the top traded coins they make $43,682.625 a day!
Workings below. (I kind of want to build an exchange!)
24H Vol Cryptsy% 0.5% of Daily Volume 0.206 0.005 0.00103 0.231 0.001155 0.315 0.001575 0.528 0.00264 0.648 0.00324 0.714 0.00357 0.768 0.00384 0.775 0.003875 0.84 0.0042 1.13 0.00565 1.15 0.00575 1.18 0.0059 1.69 0.00845 $945 Per BTC Total 0.050875BTC $48.076875
6696 33.48 1107 5.535 629 3.145 353 1.765 239 1.195 221 1.105 Total 46.225BTC $43,682.625
Conclusion, The low volume coins would be buying lunch each day for the staff :-)

Many of these coins go in spurts. I mean if it bothers you so much you can go to another exchange then. Cryptsy has other issues.
What you really mean to say is: "Remove some of these coins so I can hope they add this newly made shit coin that is 2 days old, I have a ton and need to dump them".

Look, sometimes you win and lose. You dont even want to know how long I mined some of the older alt coins before they even hit an exchange, in fact I gave away many for next to nothing, and if I had just waited a few months I could have been sitting here with my car paid off. It happens. Take the good with the bad. IMO, on the other hand, these low volume coins give a lot of people a chance to mine a coin to make a few bucks in peace, without the fear of the coin getting multi pool raped to hell. Ninja edit, I recall the Americancoin launch, I am actually shocked it got off the ground lol... I think that was the one where there was no block rewards for a long while at the start.

Can't always blame the coin, for example I'd happily trade buk (both buy and sell) but got shut out of that game when my coins went missing depositing them there some 5 yes 5 weeks (not hours, not days) ago......like wtf heard this happen with others in buk also low vol doesnt mean crap coin, cryptsy starting to lose the market for the better coins, that are traded elsewhere and those like myself will only trade on cryptsy now to basically dump my crapcoins hence its the utter crap thats getting the volume.

You cannot pump effectively things that are already running in high gear, so all the coins with almost no volume are simply the coins that are between pumps...
So maybe the question to ask is not why doesn't cryptsy drop them but, rather, when are you going to get back to pumping them?
The longer a coin manages to stay "under the radar", that is, the longer the masses think it is "dead", the more money there is to be made with them because their difficulties drop lower and lower and lower so you could even end up being able to mine them with a CPU like people were able to do with BBQcoin for almost a year. Those are sweet opportunities, people who CPU-mined BBQcoin instead of driving its difficulty up by using GPUs on it made out like bandits. As soon as GPU people came back to it they drove it into non-profitability even for themselves, shooting themselves in the foot, they could have done much better by being polite and just using a CPU for months more until some greater fool came along and spoiled it for everyone by trying to take all the coins for themselves with GPUs.
