I just watched the senate hearing and one conclusion came to my mind.. (except the beautiful chines woman from yesterday sitting behind and nodding
)
They are scared.
Why ?
Because they are asking how not to "give stage" to Bitcoin on the media by legitimising it or not legitimising it.
if they will make regulations on Bitcoin it will tell everyone "hey the government is regulating bitcoin so lets buy it" BOOM it goes up
if they wont regulate Bitcoin it can take over the current financial system.
Why so serious ?
