anyone used coinbase.com

Good morning everyone, this is the firstday I ever looked serioulsy onto bitcoin and I basically went to the bitcoin.org and did some crash course style reading and just opened an account one of the exchanges, well first one listed which was coinbase.com and linked one of my checking account. It is waiting for a deposit verification. Has anyone been using it for sometime? How reliable are they? I am considering to purchase 1 or few bitcoin for speculation.
