So it turns out that my Powercolor 7970 is most certainly faulty.
My question now is what should I tell powercolor in the RMA, how can I prove that the card is broken?
I doubt that I can just say that it doesn't mine correctly, and it does work fine most of the time when gaming...

Thanks a lot!

Probably hardware errors.

Just say it crashes in gaming, I had a 7970 that mined perfectly at 730khash yet one of the VRMs would get stupidly hot and any game would crash after 5-10 mins! Mined 105LTC on it and got a full £315 refund on it.
