Like others have stated, it has to do with the coin supply, the cryptocurrencies may be a similar projects but the coin supply may also differs. Also, the amount of marketing and how the developers are vigorously working towards the project may affect it prices. An coin during their ICO may promise and state a lot of things during their ICO in their whitepaper but won't do it, this affects their price.
