You buy a few low-end usb asic miners, powered usb hubs etc, set up something to run them and then watch your 'return' come in whilst your equipment goes through the floor in price and the few weeks old mega hardware is replaced by this weeks model...
Is mining more of a hobby now or are small fry still able to turn a profit?
I'm in at the hobby level at the moment...

It's not profitable, difficulty is going up too much.
