Hi,

I have some btc's on my wallet, but i also want to put some on my ltc wallet i just made. Is it possible to send my btc on the wallet to my ltc wallet by just adding the ltc address in the btc wallet for sending? Or do they not convert to ltc? cause i don't wanne have transactions errors or some issues...
I also heard about btc-e and cryptsy to buy ltc but i don't really want to buy them.. I just want a piece of my btc to transfer them into ltc.
I also don't really understand how the cryptsy site works.. If someone can explain this to a newbie like me how to do this i would be very pleased Smiley

Thx.

Hi MoneyGod,

Thx for the reply. I did the follow:
I added bitcoins to my Bitstamp account, so i need to send them from my Bitstamp account to my trade key of Cryptsy?
And what do i need to click on the cryptsy site to transfer my btc to ltc?Account Deposits? and if that works i can just send them directly to my ltc wallet?

Thx

I use btc-e, you have to send BTC to your btc-e deposit BTC address, when these BTC have 6 confirmations you can buy LTC in trade section and withdraw the LTC to your LTC address

In case it isn't clear to you, bitcoin (BTC) and litecoin (LTC) are different currencies. You can't "transfer" one to the other. Just like dollars and euros, if you want to trade one for the other, you have to go to an exchange or find a person that will trade with you.

BTC-e.com is the biggest LTC/BTC exchange (by far), but there are others. Here is a list: http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/#jump-ltc-btc

Keep in mind you will lose a little bit of your BTC and LTC due to transaction fees.
