I just received an email from bitmain promoting the new antminer E3.

Whos of you guys interested to buy one? are this profitable? what are your input on this?

Also, the Weight 13 kg / 800watts/ 800 us $

If I was a miner, I woulfd not buy it now for sure. Because it is only pre-sale, and people, who order now, will receive in only in the end of July.
Who knows what can happen in these 4 months.
Vitalik says that they are going to change mining algorithm to PoS, what will make this miner useless.

Indeed!!! Ethereum is working on POS which will make Asic useless for Ethereum. your 800dollar investment will turn to expensive heater  


They re actually playing cards this time! they just increase the price of E3 from 800 to 1800 dollars.  - for batch 2 which will going to shipped on 16-31 July... nice strategy.

The buyers may think that hmmm! better to buy now...!
