Hi everybody,

I was wondering if anyone knows of a mining tool that will allow splitting the hash rate of connected hardware to different pools based on a percentage that I specify. A friend and I have ( finally Wink ) got a BFL 30GH/s machine in the mail but split the cost 75% /25%.

cgminer seems to allow multiple pools with failover, round-robin with a specific period, and a load-balance mode...  I've also used diablo before, but also no luck.  Essentially I'd like load-balance mode with an argument to specify a percent per pool.  This is all just to save bookkeeping and regular payouts between the two of us.

Alternatively (if the answer to the first question is 'no miners exist'), is there a pool out there that allows payouts to be split based on a user specified distribution?

Thanks!

PS: I _did_ do a search and found similar previous threads (like is it _beneficial_ to use multiple pools), but not quite the same issue.

https://www.cex.io/ will allow you to set shareholder percentages. You could use that to set 75%/25% distributions

You can use the general site link above to sign up or check my referral link in my sig (I would really appreciate that).

When I was younger we didn't have behavioural disorders. They called it "being a brat". It was as simple as that!

I don't think you can constantly mine 75/25, but you can split the machine time 75/25 with cgminer. Your pool payment plan may not work so well mining this way...

Due to the parallel way bitcoin mining works I don't think it is possible to divide a machines resources between two pools at the same time, in other words.

Please DO NOT send me private messages asking for help setting up GPU miners. I will not respond!!!

Miramyn:  Interesting link.  While it may not be exactly what I was looking for, I'll definitely check it out.  Ever since the demise of Bitfunder there's been no easy way to trade mining stocks.

Pontiacg: Yeah, you could be right about the overall efficiency.  How do you split the machine time like that?  I didn't see a command line option for it.  You did, however, give me an idea: maybe I specify the same pool multiple times and do the round robin thing...  doh... I just found the --quota option.  It wasn't listed at the beginning of the cgminer readme... only further down under 'QUOTAS'.

Thank you both.

It is not possible. But solution might be eighter giving your friend your pool login info, or make your pool statistic public so your friend can check you dont cheat him  Smiley
