This has become a big issue because I've recently been scammed by a senior account that was sold by the name of silverleafy.  I've following the litecoin address that he used and apparanrently let to multiple transfer into an account with about 500 lite coin.

That is his litecoin address but if you track his transfers on www.blockcypher.com with the following address...who knows how many of those lite coins came from scamming people.

Won't happen.

When the subject of buying BTC with Paypal comes up, I often remember this:

I think that with the advent of the merit system, you can close the topic, but the sale of accounts will not be stopped, but we have to fight it, I agree!

What's the point in buying accounts anyways?  People should just build up their accounts honestly.  I don't get why people would buy acccounts other than to scam people.

I wouldn't be against prohibiting the sale of accounts here, but if you would send your money to a random person on the internet just because they're a Senior then any Senior member can scam you regardless of whether it is sold or not.

They're mostly bought for higher earnings on signature campaigns. Very few are used to successfully scam as there's more chance of your account receiving negative feedback before you could even scam with it.

The sale of accounts means that the trust system is now useless for any trade evaluation. "Caveat emptor" these days seems to mean watch it as they empty your wallet. Smiley
