The Internet Archive Team http://www.archive.org has relayed to me that they began a "focused crawl" for http://www.bitcointalk.org

I was reminded of how the Library of Congress archived all of early Twitter as a significant cultural record
http://blogs.loc.gov/loc/2013/01/update-on-the-twitter-archive-at-the-library-of-congress/

I reached out to the Internet Archive shortly after the Bitcoin Talk forum was hacked
http://arstechnica.com/security/2013/10/bitcoin-talk-forum-hacked-hours-after-making-cameo-in-silk-road-takedown/

And since I was involved (with Adam B. Levine)  in breaking the BitBills story (which relayed prior art within Bitcointalk.org) I realized that BitcoinTalk.org is of historical significance and serves as a historical record.

Reference: BitBills Attempt to Patent Physical Bitcoins  http://letstalkbitcoin.com/477/
A Prior Art Notice was recently filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office citing a message on BitcoinTalk: 301 Prior Art Filed Against BitBills Patent
http://www.cryptocoinwalletcards.com/press/301-prior-art-filed-bitbills-patent/

P.S. On November 6 The Internet Archive's book scanning center in San Francisco was badly damaged by fire.  You can read more at http://blog.archive.org/2013/11/06/scanning-center-fire-please-help-rebuild/. Donations to help offset costs not covered by insurance are appreciated and can be made at https://archive.org/donate

Donations are of course accepted in Bitcoin!

Regards,
Brian
