According to the U.K. research firm "Autonomous NEXT" there are already 68 crypto currency hedge funds. New ones are starting and the old ones are growing. How will this affect the crypto economy? Will it help bring it into the mainstream? Or will this put the crypto economy under the thumb of the institutions and individuals who run the fiat currency financial world?

After a strong showing in 2017, cryptocurrency-focused hedge funds are struggling in the first quarter of the new year. According to Bloomberg is reporting that nine hedge funds specializing in cryptocurrencies have shut their doors in 2018.
