I like your opinion and initially people who are in this forum have a different purpose.
basically we are not here to hunt bounty but to discuss and exchange ideas about cryptocurrency.
but bounty is just a bonus as long as we study here.
if I have a lot of merit then I will give it to you.

There's also so many threads like this claiming I don't really care about merit but secretly they do and hope that they just get merit for saying they don't really care about it. If you don't care you don't need to say anything about it and just carry on as usual and that's why these threads are utterly redundant.

That is not new to us. He use reverse psychology to earn merit. The question is do you want to receive merit? The answer is yes. Many people want to earn merit to get rank higher, i'm 100% sure that most member in this forum would answer yes instead of no so being humble won't work unless the person who read that you don't want a merit is a fool. Do what you like and we don't care if you want merit or not.
