I think yes, you just have to be a lot more careful and do a lot of inquiring before supporting bounty and airdrops. There are still very real amazing ICOs out there.

The traditional bounty era may be over. As the article highlights, ICO's like ternio have noticed the ineffective, spam saturated, bounty threads on forums and have implemented a more engaging approach to bring in followers. Change is good-if the intention is to be better. People truly interested in new projects should want to look for projects that already had a community before engaging with the crypto masses on forums-projects that perhaps had positive private sales and that are making waves within their respective industries not just forums.
