Analysis of 'jokecoins' and the reasons why people decide to buy them!  😂

https://medium.com/trivial-co/people-actually-pay-money-for-these-useless-tokens-you-must-be-joking-ef14fcb675c4

The article takes a look at Dogecoin (of course), but also some lesser known jokecoins:

- Useless Ethereum Token
- Fuck Trump Coin
- Jesus Coin
- Penis
- FUCK Token
- Cthulu Offerings

Like most, I find jokecoins really hilarious. After all, if we have no humor, we have nothing different than Wall Street brokers. Even them has some kind of humor with some shitty pink slips. Jokecoins is the proof that digital currencies are actually circulated around a thriving community. It is a good sign for all  Smiley

the problem with this article is that it is assuming only certain coins which it covered are "jokecoins". the thing is he can call them "obvious jokecoins that nobody is going to doubt" but the reality of the altcoin market specially when it comes to ethereum tokens is that 90% of them are in fact jokecoins but their jokes aren't obvious so people don't recognize them right away. but when you look deeper you can see that they have all created some bullshit coin/token with 0 usage and by putting 0 efforts in it. some of them are actually a complete copy paste of another coin/token!

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.
