It seems like almost every week Electrum comes out with a newer version of there wallet. I'm running Electrum on Ubuntu. I really don't want to keep updating, is my wallet at risk if I don't update to the most recent versions? What happens if I don't update properly can my wallet gets corrupted?

i don't think so. transferring your .dat file works, and so long as that continues to happen, you are okay. plus if you store your seed or private key, you'll be okay.

i'm not sure why they update so much.. there are a lot of bugs with my current version.
