An Asian manufacturer that makes chips for bitcoin mining blamed uncertainty over cryptocurrency mining among the reasons for its weaker than expected guidance for the rest of this year.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSMC) is the largest semiconductor foundry company in the world and also makes chips for leading technology firms such as Apple and Nvidia.

What those bitcoin mining chip makers are true and we cannot deny it. Bitcoin mining has become less profitable not because of the crash in bitcoins value but because of the tremendous increase on the difficulty on mining bitcoin. This means that the competition in bitcoin has greatly increased and this endangers solo miners and small miner. Soon only huge mining farms will continue to exist and will have the monopoly on mining bitcoin.
