Made my first mistake with Bitcoin today (Multibit)

I'm writing this as a newbie and hopefully to help other newbies. I created my first wallet using Multibit on  Windows 7. My plan is to create an offline Linux airgapped machine for "savings", or when my BTC wallet has sufficient value. I created a 30 character password for my Multibit wallet using LastPass and put the password into my LastPass vault as a secure note.

So, today I decided to get my feet wet and buy my first Bitcoin. I bought 0.3 as a test amount using LocalBitCoins.com. Transaction completed smoothly into the wallet on LocalBitCoins.com site. I then sent the BTC to my Multibit wallet address. This transaction completed.

I then tried to open my Multibit wallet, but the password had not been saved in LastPass. User error on my part probably. So, I have effectively lost the password to my Multibit wallet. Stupid I know, and luckily it's only a small amount of BTC. I know this is a long shot, but there's no way to get that BTC back is there? 

Should I create a password for my wallet? The multibit wallet on Windows is for "everyday" transactions, not long-term savings.

I say add a passphrase just in case, but just as added security. If someone steals the device you keep your wallet in, all that BTC and all your data and computer has already been taken anyway, you wouldn't want them to gain more pleasure in unlocking thousands of dollars worth of BTC

So can I recover my 0.33 BTC? When I open Multibit it looks like this:



Only one transaction has occurred on this wallet and that is:

Why does it say 153 BTC transacted? If I show the receiving address it says:

I have also got some backups, can I use those to get to my bitcoin? My Multibit directory looks like this:

Can someone recommend what I need to do? Thanks!

Download KeypassX

Store every password you use in it (that way you only have to remember 1 password).

Download truecrypt.org.

Create a vault just for your multi-bit wallet.

Place that vault in a dropbox or some kind of cloud backup.

Email the vault to yourself.

Add the vault to a USB stick.

In other words, at least 3 backups, and one in the cloud.

Nope. It would be very hard to get it back. The point of a password is to protect the stuff, but you are looking for a way around it. Now if there was an easy way to get your btc back, then it would be just as easy for a hacker. Just try very hard to remember it.
