Hey guys, a newbie over here!

Hi there guys!

So, I'm new to this site, but not really new to bitcoins. The only reason I am new to this site, is because for some reason, registration seemed to be disable for about a month (not sure why), but I finally made an account here, and am ready to get started!

It took me a LONG time to figure out why I couldn't post anywhere, but after checking the latest members, and where they were posting, I finally found where we were able to post. There should be a banner or something to tell you you can only post in the "newbie" section, or something.

Anyways, a few questions for all of you guys:

What is your method of earning bitcoins?
Around how much has it earned you and how long have you been doing this?
If it is a mining pool, the site?

Site was hacked a while ago thats why registrasion was disabled.
You can earn bitcoins with mining, which is an expensive and not profitable sport atm, or by selling products or services.

Discounted/specials/offers on VPS services can sometimes yield a profitable return and be fun* while managing a cluster of miners.

'Fun' if you enjoy deploying/scaling environments within a budget allotment for maximum return.  The biggest return for me wasn't the fiat value but the skills gained.  Good luck.

Hi,

My method of mining is slowly with my pair of 7850s. However, I'm probably using more $ in electricity than mining revenue.
I've been mining on and off and I've gathered a total of 1 BTC. I remember the days when CPU mining was actually profitable. However, I keep doing it because I like the idea of bitcoin and decentralized currency and mining helps support it.

I am currently considering my options in purchasing an ASIC. I just purchased an rPi to control it and eligius.st seems to be a good pool to join once I've gathered the resources to begin mining seriously. I am still a newbie.
