Hi,
since i am very new to all this I can only post in this topic. I started yesterday and already managed to set up miners, which are working pretty good so far. My biggest problem are my wallets.
I decided to use armory and downloaded it. Armory also neets bitcoin-qt software installed. The automatic download in Armory didnt worked so i went to bitcoin.org and downloaded it and installed it to my PC.
I also set up the right path in armory to my bitcoin-qt installation... Everything worked so far and Armory told me it needs to synchronize the transaction ledger. Well i waited "forever" and this morning I checked back and it gave me error codes about corrupt database and stuff... Dont have the exact error messages anymore. I will post them when i get them again.
Do i have to first start bitcoin-qt and let it sync all the way and after that start armory and let that sync?
I just reinstalled bitcoin-qt and also restarted armory and it tells me it is now at 77% that means i have to wait for a couple more hours. Is it nesscesary to sync the bitcoin-qt first and after that armory or can i use armory right away?
Also armory tells me in the right bottom corner that i am in "offline mode" is this due the sync with the network?
Another question about namecoins:
I downloaded the wallet of namecoin.info but i also have problems there about syncronizing. it is running forever now and it still tells me i am 95 weeks behind and I have syncd 39214 out of 147048 and the numbers dont change if I check back after a couple hours and also the progress bar is stuck at about 1/4 of the total. My PC crashed one time, when namecoin was running, could that be a reason for that? how can i reset it to start over again? I dont have any coins in it so far, so i wont lose anything....
I also tried to contact the developer but the email doesnt exist anymore, seems development of namecoins is dead?
