Monero got saved after Fork. What about ETH, ZEC.. Forks ?? Save GPU mining !

Go against the hidden mining from ASIC companies

BITMAIN is mining hidden ZEC, when they will hear about ZEC fork they will sell their doorstops

Yes to ETH Fork
Yes to ZEC Fork

I agree. I suspect there is already ASIC mining with the ETH as the hash rate rise pattern is similar to the Monero.

More GPU miner can support the coin better.

Pretty sure zec devs said they aren't forking. Because of that, I'm cashing in my zec and finding another project that actually gives a shit

Yes...Monero (and most of Cryptonight algo coins) are saved now. Community support the devs in their fight for DECENTRALIZATION. Greedy ASIC producers, now has to make a different calculations for future ASIC miners. I hope more fair, if they do not want to produce doorstops. Who will buy now X3, Giant-N? There are lot of them on EBAY, but mostly zero bids...
The regular forking every 6 months is the future for GPU mining...

Shh dont tell anyone but Im making beaucoup bucks running all my mining power on Monero. Im getting hundredths of rounds instead of thousandths. Blocks are being found pretty frequently again. There was a moment at the fork that meant you could get even more percent of a round but the blocks werent being found very fast. Now that the ASIC's are gone the difficulty has adjusted and CPU/GPU miners are profitable again. The only downside being that the most likely reason the hashrate came back is that botnets updated their miners. There are always one or two "workers" on the pools that have 10X or more the hashrate of the next person down.

I can already imagine the profitability increase when Ethereum fixes its ASIC issue. I'm pretty excited for that and i'm probably going to buy myself a wide screen TV if ethereum mining becomes profitable again. Gotta cash out and get some of the simple things in life. Wide screen TVs for sure.

THIS IS FROM ZCASH bitcointalk section

"COMPANY VALUES

The Zcash company aims to set a new standard for privacy through the use of groundbreaking cryptography.

In an open and programmable financial system, privacy is the only way to ensure fungibility and guarantee that cryptocurrency can be interchangeable as a fluid medium of exchange for users. Companies need the protection of privacy along their supply chain in order to conduct their business, especially in the context of public blockchains. In addition, we believe that personal privacy is necessary for core human values like dignity, intimacy, and morality.[/b]

We are a science-driven team. Our scientists and engineers are the discoverers of the underlying scientific principles and the designers of the protocol; we are not the controllers or the power-holders, and do not control the mining or distribution of Zcash. Every user of Zcash contributes to its decentralization, helping to protect it against failure and corruption. Our team is one among many participants in the network. We created Zcash, but its ultimate destiny lies not in our hands, but in yours.

Wow it is obscene the amount of ASICs Monero network had.
IMHO algos should be changed every 3-6 months. That would make SURE no ASICs are being deployed.

Ethereum and other great currencies should follow Monero.

Looks like about 30% difficulty has fallen so far and very quickly too. Of course some of that could be from people stopping mining as the Bitcoin and general crypto market is going red for quite some time and makes mining less worth it or even negative. The difference is very staggering though, and it was a good move. It bricked a lot of Bitmain miners that were going to be sold for cryptonight to be mined on monero chain

the old chain is still around and asics are making money there.

this means wealth creation has happened i.e.

xmr + xmo are more for both.

if the moron eth developers forked same thing would happen. in fact eth could use the eth asic as a reason to fork and stay pow for a few years.
Big time pop for their team.

if the moron zec people forked same thing would happen.

I am glad I don't hold zec coins.

Zec will now fold them up I look to see raven to do well.

I am really sad if hear the ASIC mining work Sad They more profitable than our gpu rigs.
But that the realistic of business crypto mining. Every body can do what they want even using ASIC miner.
Everything depends the development of that coins. They want to stop miners ASIC or not, that's up to them Smiley
So, let's always start mining and we hope the development will stop the ASIC's miners Smiley

As do mine (respect). I hope this thread at least becomes a call to attention for developers to do something about the threat of ASICs. Come to think of it Bitmain could (and probably has) have hidden information about these ASICs and just kept it to themselves and yet they would still earn a huge amount of money.

The fact that they are selling it now could mean that they have already earned enough and are looking to reduce risk and sell old models/versions. It could also be a smokescreen to explain the incoming huge surge in ZEC difficulty very soon. They will make people think that difficulty increased tremendously because of people buying ZEC ASICs but in reality it is because they start turning on their ZEC ASIC v2 which hashes at 100k sols/s using only 100 watts.
