For instance, my garage is a good 30 degrees.  I don't have one yet, but would it be smart to put it in the garage?

It was 82F here in southern California today.... what is this cold weather you speak of?

It gets down to a chilly 58F at night.  I still have to run the AC during the day  Angry

I'm assuming you mean 30F?

Yes, sorry about that.  Outside temp is about -11.

I've had my two rigs in the garage for a while now.
It's -24deg C (-11deg F) here in toronto, canada today and the rigs are loving it. Fans are running at 20-30% and cards are 75deg C.

I am moving all of mine out to my external garage; should help alot with consistency. It has it's own climate control but I can just let them chill in the winter Smiley Just need to get the wiring done in there for 10 computers.

I had 2x 6970's running last winter, but I sold them in June because even those 2 cards put out too much heat for the summer. They made a 6 degree F difference in a 10x12 room. Now I'm wishing I had kept them for this winter.

All mine are in an outbuilding where the temp currently is about -5 degrees C and they are so very happy out there!

I keep mine in the garage (11-25 degrees F), if you think it's getting too cold, just overlock Smiley.

My GPUs (5 x r9 280X and 2 x r9 290X) in the garage overheated the garage in just one night with temperatures around 0degC. I ended up having to put an exhaust and intake ducts into the side of the garage (along with a fan) to circulate outside air through the garage.

2500W drawn from the wall is likely 80-90% turned to heat; that's a pretty strong heater to have running 24/7 in a single car garage.

If I'm going to expand, I will have to find some better method to move the heat outside.
