Maybe helpful; bit of feedback from my side. I've just ran my first "mining operation".
The game dynamics are very straightforward and it's easy to use. It was easy to start mining and not cost prohibitive at a 2/3 gwei cost. What I would have liked is that "sleep" is initiated immediately after mining is finished, to prevent me having to start it manually and incurring another round of transaction costs. With 20-30 miners, it will be very hard to keep track of when mining finishes (it different per miner) and starting sleeping/mining for each one of them all the time. Removing half of the required actions will help with that.
My rewards were ~30 gems I think. Since 5000 are needed for a new miner, I consider that to be on the low side. It would take me ~150 mining attempts (and sleep, so 300 transactions) to buy a single new miner. It is more worthwhile to buy it directly with ETH, but that defeats the whole purpose of the game. Therefore, I would increase the rewards. At the moment, I have to mine for 6 months to get a single new one.
Secondly; your "value proposition" is the miner rarity, not the gems. That's what people should exchange and become worth money. Therefore, I would focus on creating more variety also in the looks of miners (what they are wearing, what their helmet looks like, etc.)
Because that will be the "rare traits" that you want people to mine for.
Hope it's helpful.
