I recently opened a new wallet on blockchain.info. I did not use a backup email address but I saved the mnemonic to a flash drive. I transferred almost 20btc to this wallet.. My laptop and flash drive were stolen and now I do not know the identifier to this wallet. The only thing i know is the identifier starts with 5....I think. I still know the password and I know the bitcoin address the coins were sent to. I checked the address and the coins are still there. I think I made a secret phrase too. I contacted support a week ago and still have not heard anything. Someone please tell me my coins are not lost in cyberspace forever. Id appreciate any help. Thanks

You didn't setup an Alias?

Isn't the Identifier sent to email address?

Hi,

This is what's on blockchain. You would need the email address you were using. Unless someone else has a solution.

Quote
Lost Identifier or Alias

If you have lost your wallet identifier first check the confirmation email you received during sign up. Can't find the email? Click the button below and we can send you a new one.

Recover Wallet Import Backup
Lost Two-factor Authentication Details.

If you have lost your two factor authentication details your wallet is still fully recoverable. All we need is reasonable proof you are the account owner which can be provided by completing the form linked below.

Reset Two Factor Authentication
Lost Password

Your wallet is encrypted by your browser before it reaches us and for this reason we are unable to help recover lost passwords. To avoid any possible monetary loss due to forgotten passwords it is recommended you make a paper backup of your wallet's private keys.

Be careful about taking advice from random forum people who have less than a few dozen posts.  There's a good chance they are making wild guesses and have no idea what they are talking about.  They may present their opinion with an air of certainty, but that doesn't necessarily mean that their information is reliable.

Piuk is a forum member here at bitcointalk.  He is a technical expert on all things having to do with blockchain.info.

I suggest you send him a PM and ask for his assistance.  Depending on what information you have, and what is available in your browser history/cache, it may be possible to recover the contents of your wallet.

I'm not saying that you'll definitely get your bitcoins back, I'm just saying its a bit early to give up hope yet without having heard from someone who has access to reliable information.

I did not register with my email

THis is your fault, and you should be more careful next time. It is probably unlikely that bc.info support can help you recover your wallet.

If you have your basic info we can get you your identifier.
You can either email blockchain directly or I can handle your case for you.

Hopefully you've gotten your problem taken care of by now though.

Thanks,

Blockchain employee

DO NOT SEND ANYTHING TO THIS INDIVIDUAL UNLESS/UNTIL YOU FIRST CONFIRM WITH blockchain.info DIRECTLY THAT THIS PERSON ACTUALLY REPRESENTS THEM.  THIS COULD BE A SCAMMER ATTEMPTING TO COLLECT INFO TO STEAL FROM YOU!
