there is no specific answer for this and I don't think anyone will ever able to answer it like this but yes ICO is definitely a very promising and trustable place for doing investment

It depends on every project. Every project is different from each other and for every project is it important to look at the metrics. After that you can decide for yourself or if it is worth to invest or not.

ICO investors often look for these> all-star team, low market cap, less than .1 in ICO price , working prototype, low hard cap.
Makes perfect sense and looks very ideal. BUT fails to realize that changes around crypto happens so fast , these factors are no longer exhaustive.

Governments are trying to get a piece of it for some form of control and govt can take down/ban ICO that don't satisfy the regulatory framework being implemented. Thus it's wiser to check if the crypto startup is working with the govt agency at least for 'legality' so your share of tokens are secure. 4

Take a look at the efforts done by this blockchain-based bank ( NO public sale , sorry ) https://technode.com/2018/08/06/taiwans-crypto-scene-is-booming-but-still-needs-a-clearer-regulatory-framework-to-thrive
The CEO, due to prior work with the government, has deep connections with the officials and has connections to ALL banks in Taiwan.

It is an endless debate, regulations how which ones and what would the effects be. I think that you should change the title of your thread is extremely misleading anyway.

Ico time is not now. We are in really bad bearish market and its going to be like this maybe even whole September. There are still some good ICO and for me i love MUST PLATFORM
The MUST platform is an ecosystem of services for digitization, tokenization, management, trading of assets and financial instruments of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises. The real-time monitoring of the current state of assets provides smart investors with reliable information necessary for making a decision on investing in an asset.

Every investors has their own metrics or standards that they consider when choosing an ICO to invest. Some are depending on the popularity of a project and some are checking the team behind a particular project. But the bottomline here is that, all that metrics would just be a basis to make assumptions but there's no assurance that an ICO will already be a huge one just because it met the mentioned metrics.

Actually, in choosing promising ICOS, i dont have any specific metrics to follow, im just basing the information from whitepaper,,, but eventhough you have some metrics still theres no assurance that you can always find a good one,all we need is extra careful for scammers,,

The people, that is the users in the crypto market go for the whitepaper. They read it, and then make the decision whether they should go for it or not.

There is no hard and fast rule in determining the good or scam ICO but we can follow some steps for this like analyzing the information given in the white paper and analyzing the team members etc.

There aren't any written rules or guidelines. It varies from people to people. Some read the whitepaper, some go for the project based on the name and nips it in the bud, others just follows their instincts.

I always do some research by collecting data and information on the team, community and roadmap of the ICOs and also check the community profiles of them. If I find something shady then I opt for not investing. Anyways, it is very natural for ICOs to get affected by various other things but transparency is what the investors ask for.

To be honest I focus more on the team's credibility and the concept that they are trying to implement. Other things like Whitepaper, roadmap and community comes later. In my opinion ICOs should be invested on based on the information they provide about their plans of future rather than the financial information which can vary from ICO to ICO.

There is no particular prosodies, it ballplayer change from fill to fill in this exchange. It call for evaluation, tetchiness, doctrine, and break arranged on their whitepaper. But the virtually chief factor is the party members. The action of apiece party member should be chequered

This time, my opinion is, except your criteria above, we can consider ICOs from China, they rarely public information on Bitcointalk or other ICO-listing sites, but we can see that they often reached hardcap then after ICO and listed on exchange, Their token still kept the ICO price.

haha that doesnt look like a good thing, I'm not racist but Chinese has unfair business practices including businessmen supporting or obliged to return the favor back to other businessmen that did them a favor. Investors just think 'the Chinese market is the next big thing' and jump to its projects.

To see a promising ICO, we must use our time to research through the ico company. many aspects will be considered.
Some of the aspects are in written in the whitepaper, need some time to read. And the important thing is we must research if the ico project real or not.

There are many scams in the ICO. It is not easy to find a promising ICO. I don't have specific indicators to choose which good and potential ico. Just read the information on the white paper and understand the teams and promotions behind it. Do ICO to help find the future

After all these news on ICO spending raised funds extravagantly and leaving a few for development, my last metric would be 'Are you using a third-party service for treasury management?
You know they can be very skilled in building a platform but finance/portfolio management is another skill better left with the experts. This is how I appreciate the platform that is being built by Formosa Financial - they'll be a gamechanger not only for ICOs but for digital asset exchanges and individuals with large crypto assets.

The team created a large project like Eloncity based on blockchain technology. Not only that, the team has created a strong community trust to support the project, to make it even bigger. Follow and join the project https://eloncity.io/
