cgminer on linux

I'm running cgminer on Linux (P4-2.66ghz, 512mb ram, Radeon 7950).  The program says 400-500 Kh/s when it's running.  But my pool only reports like 10 Kh/s, and I end up with 0.0001 after an hour rather than 0.0133 or so (according to the litecoin calculator).  Why would the program report a relatively normal hash rate?

Any ways to fix this problem with settings?
