Hi together,

I have recently ordered hardware to build a mining rig to start mining Litecoin.
It will include 3x MSI TF III 7950s.

So, I work in IT, and am messing around with a XFX Ghost 7950 we have here spare atm. To learn from mistakes until my hardware arrives.

I have installed and tested with several diffrent AMD Drivers. incl. 12.8 + 12.10 + the most recent ones. Also with the SDKs 2.7 - 2.9

Whichever drivers and SDKs are installed, and with several diffrent setting in the .bat-file, I just cannot reach a hashrate of over 420 kH

these are some of the settings in the .bat files Ive tried.
Quote
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer --scrypt -I 19 -g 1 -w 256 --gpu-engine 1050 --gpu-memclock 1250 --thread-concurrency 21712 --shaders 1792 --lookup-gap 2 --temp-target 80 --temp-overheat 90 --auto-fan -o stratum+tcp://XXX:3333 -u XXX -p XXX

and also with just: --auto-gpu and --auto-fan

There are basically no diffrences with any setting and any drivers installed. (I have cleaned up after driver install correctly)
I just cant get over 420 kH/s Sad

So, my questions are..

1. Can someone help me out as to if Im failing or have missed anything important ?

2. A few shares are rejected and Im getting messages about stales shares. Why ?

Also:
3. As soon as i set to -I 20 - I will get HW errors. Anyone know why ?

Ive been trying to get it to work decently for a few days now - and Im starting to get frustrated ^^

Please help a noob Cheesy

Hey, I'm not familiar with driver problems for the XFX Ghost, but I do currently have a Sapphire Vapor-X hashing away with no rate issue. There's one entry for the Ghost at https://litecoin.info/Mining_Hardware_Comparison that has core clock set at 1040 MHz and memory at 1495 MHz, try that!

Unfortunately, no change in hashrate Sad

1. Memory clock should be at around 1400 mhz, thread concurrency at 24000, and take off shaders.
2. Stratum probably isn't connecting to the pool.
3.that's just the way the 7950 reacts
