1. Do not panic. As long as you have your wallet, coins are not lost - they're just not displayed until the client catches up with the block-chain (fully synched).
2. Shut down Bitcoin-QT.
3. Make a backup of your wallet.dat to an external drive, and another folder on your computer. In the event you fuck up something, you will then not lose your coins.

Refer to this for where it could be stored: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Data_directory

4. Start the program again and see what messages it gives you. Still not working? You might try to start it with rescan option. See here:
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Running_Bitcoin

5. Everything failing, you might try to wipe out the entire datadirectories and download the block chain from scratch. This might take a very long time.

6. You may also export the private key corresponding to your bitcoin address and import it to another more lightweight client that does not need to download the entire block chain.

Your private key is stored in Wallet.dat. This is needed to send bitcoins from your wallet so don't lose it and keep it to yourself.

If you want to try a rescan as suggested by TheFootMan, run the following command presuming you're running a 64 bit Windows system:
Code:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Bitcoin\bitcoin-qt.exe -rescan

Everyone, this forum is for discussion in the Scandinavian languages (and sometimes in English for Bitcoin topics related to Scandinavia). This looks like a general discussion in English.
