Hello all. I recently bought hardware to set up a bitcoin miner, and I'm having some trouble with drivers.

Hardware;

CPU: i5-3750 3.4GHz
MB: Asus P8Z77-V ATX LGA1155
RAM: G.Skill Ares Series 2x4GB DDR3-1866
GUPs: three Radeon HD 6950 2GBs
PSU: Rosewill Lightning 1300W 80+ Gold Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

I'm using a fresh install of Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium SP1. I installed the Ethernet drivers off the MB CD, but other than that it's a clean install with the recommended Windows updates downloaded. When I download the official drivers found at http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows%207%20-%2064 the installer pops up, but the installation fails halfway through. The error from the Event Viewer reads

"Product: AMD Catalyst Install Manager -- Error 1723.There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.  Action SetInstallDir, entry: SetInstallDir, library: C:\Windows\Installer\MSI34EB.tmp"

I googled the error but couldn't come up with a fix, so I turn to you fine folks. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Update. I'm more than willing to switch to Linux to get the thing mining, but the guide I found using Xubuntu didn't have drivers for my cards, and I couldn't find any anywhere.
